  • 8 strips bacon
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 ribs celery, chopped
  • 1 large bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 pods garlic, chopped
  • 1 can Ro-Tel tomatoes
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (12 oz.) jar Ragu sauce with mushrooms
  • 1 small cabbage, shredded
  • 1 c. washed raw rice
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground meat
  • 1 large can beef broth

    Saute onions, celery,

    bell pepper and garlic in bacon grease.

    Add mushroom soup and

    Ro-Tel tomatoes to this. Pour in a large baking pan including

    fried bacon.

    Saute ground meat and pour Ragu sauce and beef broth to this.

    Mix everything including cabbage and raw rice;

    taste.

    at 350° covered for about 1 1/2 hours.

    stir top with bread crumbs and bake another 15 to 20 minutes.
