- 1 small head cabbage, shredded
- 15 to 18 oz. low sodium tomato sauce or V-8 juice
- 1 c. fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1/2 green pepper, diced
- 1/4 c. onion, diced
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 c. low-fat cheese, shredded
Directions

1Brown ground beef with onion and green pepper.

2Drain well. Add sauce.

3In a large casserole sprayed with nonstick cooking spray, layer meat, cabbage and cheese.

4Continue to layer until all ingredients are used.

5Cover and bake at 350° until cabbage is tender, about 1 hour.

6Serves 4 to 6.
