Cabbage Patch Soup

Ingredients
- 2 c. finely shredded cabbage
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 c. thinly sliced celery
- 1 can tomatoes with juice
- 2 c. water
- 1 can red kidney beans
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. pepper
- salt to taste
Directions

1Melt margarine; add ground beef, stirring, until browned and crumbly.

2Add onion and celery; stir often for five minutes. Break up tomatoes with spoon and add to meat.

3Add water, beans and seasonings.

4Bring to boil.

5Add cabbage.

6Reduce heat and simmer until cabbage is tender.

7Makes 4 to 6 servings.
