  • 1 large head cabbage
  • 1 1/2 lb. hamburger meat
  • 3/4 c. rice, cooked
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 chopped onion (1/4 c.)
  • 1/2 c. sauerkraut
  • 1/4 tsp. salt and pepper
  • 46 oz. can tomato juice

Directions

    Put cabbage head in boiling water.

    Cook for 15 minutes.

    Mix remaining ingredients, except tomato juice and stuff leaves with mixture and roll up.

    Put in kettle with tomato juice.

    Simmer for 4 or 5 hours.

    Close cabbage leaves with toothpicks.
