Cabbage Rolls

  • 1 large can tomato juice
  • 1 medium cabbage
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 c. rice
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 egg

Directions

    Place cabbage in boiling pan of water on stove.

    Boil until tender.

    Dice onion; put onion into a skillet with butter.
  4. 4
    Mix onion in a large bowl with hamburger, rice, egg and a dash of salt and pepper.

    When cabbage leaves are done, take a ball of hamburger mixture and wrap with a cabbage leaf.

    Place a toothpick through it to hold together.

    Place cabbage rolls in a large kettle.
  8. 8
    Pour tomato juice over rolls.

    Cook on top of stove for 45 minutes.
