Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage
  • 2 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 c. instant rice, cooked
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 pkg. onion soup mix
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1/2 c. chopped pepper
  • 1/2 c. (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • salt and pepper

Directions

    Combine all ingredients except cabbage (set aside).

    Fill a large kettle with water and place cored cabbage in it.

    Boil until leaves start to come apart from heat.
  4. 4
    Remove leaves and drain. Fill each leaf with meat mixture.
  5. 5
    Roll and serve with toothpick. Bake 3 hours at 350°.

    As they bake, pour tomato sauce over. While baking, top with bacon.
