- 1 lb. chopped beef
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
- 1 c. rice, cooked
- 8 large cabbage leaves
- 2 c. tomato sauce
- 1 c. water
- 1 c. sauerkraut
- 1 egg
Directions

1Pour boiling water over cabbage leaves.

2Let stand 10 minutes; drain.

3Season meat.

4Add onion, rice and egg.

5Roll a portion of filling into each leaf.

6Fasten ends with toothpicks.

7Place the cabbage rolls on a rack in pot.

8Pour tomato sauce and water over rolls.

9Cover and cook for 2 to 3 hours.
