- 1 1/4 lb. ground beef
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 3/4 c. cooked rice
- 1 small onion, minced
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 12 large cabbage leaves
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 c. lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Combine first 5 ingredients and 1 can tomato sauce.

2Mix well and set aside.

3Cover cabbage leaves with boiling salted water and cook 4 minutes; drain.

4Divide meat mixture evenly among cabbage leaves, spooning down center of leaf.

5Fold sides of leaf to the center and roll jelly roll fashion.

6Place in large skillet, seam down.

7Combine tomato sauce with other ingredients; pour over cabbage rolls.

8Cover; simmer 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

9Makes 6 servings.
