- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 3 Tbsp. uncooked rice
- 1 medium onion, grated
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- pepper to taste
- 12 large cabbage leaves
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 3 Tbsp. vinegar
- 6 Tbsp. granulated sugar
Directions

1Combine meat, rice, onion, water, salt and pepper.

2Drop cabbage leaves in boiling, salted water for a few minutes, until they are pliable.

3Drain and dry cabbage.

4Divide meat mixture into 12 parts.

5Place 1 part on each cabbage leaf.

6Roll leaves, tucking ends securely.

7Place rolls, seam side down, close together in baking dish.
