  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 to 1 c. instant rice
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1/4 green pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. celery salt
  • 1/8 tsp. thyme
  • 1/2 tsp. basil
  • 1/4 tsp. sage
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. catsup

Directions

    Mix all ingredients.

    Core a large head of cabbage and place in boiling water for 5 minutes.

    Place a handful of mixture in each leaf and roll up and place in baking dish.

    Pour a No. 2 can of tomatoes over the top.

    Cook, uncovered, in a 450° oven for 30 minutes, then 1 1/2 hours, covered in 380° oven.
