- 1 cabbage (medium head)
- 1 c. rice, washed and drained
- 1 c. beef or lamb, ground
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 (5 1/2 oz.) can tomato paste
- water
Directions

1Core and parboil cabbage until limp.

2Cut leaves in half, removing the ribs.

3Set oven at 400°.

4Combine all ingredients except cabbage leaves, tomato paste and water.

5Place a heaping tablespoonful of the filling in a leaf lengthwise.

6Fold the outside edges 1/2 inch towards center and roll.

7Arrange in a casserole dish or small roaster.
