  • 1 large cabbage, shredded
  • 1 pepper, sliced paper thin
  • 2 medium onions, sliced thin and separated into rings
  • 1 medium size jar pimento, drained
  • 1 c. oil
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. white vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. celery seed

Directions

    Layer cabbage, pepper, onions and pimentos; set aside.

    Mix oil, sugar, vinegar, salt and celery seed.

    Boil for 2 minutes. Pour hot dressing over vegetables.

    Cover tightly and refrigerate at least 4 hours before serving.

    Keeps for at least a week.
