- 1 head cabbage, cut up
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper, if desired
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. salad oil
- 1/2 c. vinegar
- 1 tsp. celery seed
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Cover cabbage, onion, and pepper with ice and let stand 30 minutes to 1 hour, then drain cabbage very well and mix.

2Mix sugar, oil, vinegar, celery seed and salt. Pour over cabbage and refrigerate.

3May adjust amount of salt and vinegar to your taste. Will keep in refrigerator 1 week.
