- 5 lb. cabbage, washed and cut into wedges
- 1 c. hot water
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/3 c. salt
- 1/4 c. vinegar
- 1/4 c. whiskey (any kind you have on hand)
Directions

2hot water, brown sugar, salt and vinegar until it comes to a boil. Cool.

3Add the whiskey and pour the mixture over the cabbage.

4Put into a container (such as a crock) that a

5weight can be put on top of the cabbage.

8Remove from the weight and put into jars or plastic container and refrigerate.
