- 4 potatoes
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon pepper
- 2 garlic cloves
- 14 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 bunch kale, sliced
- 4 cups water
Directions

1Bring the water to a simmer.

2Add the onions, potatoes, salt, pepper, garlic, and crushed red pepper, if desired.

3Simmer for 10 minutes, until the potatoes are soft.

4Blend the ingredients with an immersion blender (or in a standard blender and then return to the pot).

6Add the kale to the simmering soup, cooking it for about 5 minutes.

7Remove from the heat, then immediately stir in the red beans.
