Ingredients

  • 4 oz. bacon, diced
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 (21 oz.) can pork and beans
  • 1 (15 oz.) can butter beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1/2 c. ketchup
  • 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    In a skillet, cook bacon until crisp.

    Remove to paper towels to drain.

    Discard drippings.

    In the same skillet, cook beef and onion until the beef is browned and the onion is tender.

    Drain fat.

    Combine ground beef and bacon with all remaining ingredients.

    Spoon into a 2-quart casserole.

    Bake uncovered at 300° for 1 hour or until the beans are as thick as desired. Recipe can easily be doubled for a larger group.
