Ingredients

• Filling:
• 3/4 cup caramel ice cream topping
• 1 cup chopped pecans
• 5 tablespoons butter
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 5 Granny Smith apples, cored and sliced
• 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
• 1/4 cup white sugar
• 1 egg, beaten
• 1 teaspoon lemon juice
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• Toppings:
• 1 cup frozen whipped topping, thawed (optional)
• 1/4 cup caramel ice cream topping, or to taste (optional)
• 1/4 cup chopped pecans, or to taste (optional)
