  • 6 c. granulated sugar
  • 3 c. water
  • 3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 9 medium apples (your choice)

Directions

    Cook all ingredients except apples until the temperature reaches 290°.

    Do not stir.

    Add several drops of red food coloring.

    Place pan in hot water to keep from hardening.

    Begin dipping apples at once.

    Cool on greased surface.
