- 1 1/2 c. water

1In a saucepan, combine the 2 1/2 cups sugar and the water; bring to boiling, stirring occasionally.

2Place cranberries in a 10 x 6 x 2-inch baking pan.

3Pour boiling syrup over cranberries. Bake in 300° oven, uncovered, for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4Cover loosely and store overnight.
