  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. milk plus 4 drops red food coloring
  • 1 tsp. white Karo syrup
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 1/2 c. pecan halves

Directions

    In a 2-quart saucepan mix sugar, milk, Karo and salt.

    Cook to soft ball stage, 238°.

    Add nuts and stir until creamy.

    Quickly turn out on waxed paper and separate with fork.
