- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon chipotle chile powder
- 1 tablespoon coarse sea salt
- 2 cups assorted unsalted nuts
Directions

1Preheat oven to 300°. Mix sugar, maple syrup, chile powder, and salt in a medium bowl. Add nuts and mix to coat well. Spread nuts on a nonstick baking sheet (or line sheet with parchment) in a single layer.

2Bake nuts, stirring often, 20 to 30 minutes, or until liquid is mostly evaporated and nuts are golden inside (break 1 open to test). Let cool until crisp.
