- 1 squash
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. dark corn syrup
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 2 Tbsp. water
Directions

1Boil whole squash in a deep kettle 15 minutes.

2Drain, split and remove seeds.

3Peel; cut into chunks.

4Melt butter in a heavy pan.

5Stir in sugar, syrup, nutmeg and water.

6Add squash and toss well; cover and simmer for 10 minutes.

7Then uncover for 5 minutes or until tender.

8Makes 4 servings.
