  • 2 1/2 c. walnuts
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Bake walnuts for 15 minutes at 375°.

    Combine sugar, water, cinnamon and salt in saucepan; cook over medium heat to soft ball stage.

    Do not stir.

    Remove from heat; add vanilla and nuts. Stir until mixture becomes creamy and sticks to the nuts.

    Dump on cookie sheet and spread as it cools.
