- 1 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. cream or tartar
- several drops red food coloring
Directions

1Mix sugar, water and cream of tartar.

2Bring to a boil and cook until it reaches 300° on a candy thermometer.

3Do not stir while cooking.

4Add food coloring last.

5Keep fire low while dipping apples.

6Lay on a cookie sheet.

7Spread with Pam.

8Makes 12 to 15 medium apples.

9Make sure apples are washed and dried good.
