  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/4 c. cinnamon red hot candies
  • 8 small MacIntosh apples

Directions

    In a heavy deep 3-quart saucepan over medium heat, heat sugar, corn syrup, candies, 1 cup water and 1/4 teaspoon red food coloring to boil.

    Cook without stirring to 290° about 20 minutes.
