- 2 c sugar
- 2 c flour
- 1 stick margarine
- 1/2 c Crisco
- 4 Tbsp cocoa
- 1 c water
- 1/2 c buttermilk
- 2 slightly beaten eggs
- 1 tsp soda
- 1 tsp vanilla
Directions

1Mix sugar and flour in large bowl.

2Put margarine, Crisco, cocoa and water in pan and let come to a boil.

3Remove from heat and pour into flour and sugar mixture.

4Add buttermilk and 2 eggs to mixture; beat well.

5Sprinkle 1 teaspoon soda over batter; mix well and add vanilla.

6Pour into greased and floured 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
