  • 3 egg whites, beaten stiff
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 (1 lb.) can nuts or peanuts

Directions

    Gradually add sugar to beaten egg whites and beat until stiff. Melt butter on jelly roll pan.

    Coat nuts with sugar mixture; place on pan, spreading evenly.

    Bake in a 325° oven for 30 minutes. Stir with a fork every 10 minutes.

    Cool and break into pieces. Yields one pound.
