- 1 cup butter, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
- 3.5 oz small hard candies
Directions

1Beat butter and sugar in a medium bowl until light and creamy.

2Transfer mixture to a large bowl; stir in flour. Knead dough on a lightly floured surface 30 seconds, or until smooth.

3Divide dough into 2 portions. Shape each portion into a disc. Wrap in plastic wrap; chill 30 mins.

4Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper.

5Roll each dough portion between sheets of parchment paper until 1/4 inch thick. Using a 3 inch round cookie cutter, cut 12 cookies from dough. Place cookies on prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches apart. Sprinkle hard candies over cookies.

6Bake 10-12 mins, or until lightly golden. Allow to cool on baking sheets.
