- 1 gal. sliced okra
- 6 Tbsp. vinegar
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. canning salt
- corn meal
Directions

1Add vinegar and salt to okra.

2Cover okra with water; bring to a boil.

3Simmer 5 minutes.

4Put in hot jars.

5Add liquid to cover okra.

6Seal with hot lids.

7To cook:

8Rinse well.

9Add to soups, etc. or rinse well and add small amount of corn meal.

10Shake well. Fry in small amount of olive oil or other oil.

11Oil should be hot. Makes 9 or 10 pints.
