Ingredients

  • 1 qt. white vinegar
  • cut up peppers
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 or 4 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/4 to 1/8 tsp. alum
  • 1 qt. water
  • cut up cauliflower (optional)
  • 1 tsp. oil
  • 1/4 to 1/8 tsp. turmeric
  • garlic in pieces

Directions

    Bring water and vinegar to a boil.

    Put peppers and optional cauliflower in hot jars.

    Add remaining ingredients.

    Pour hot vinegar and water over peppers and seal jars.
