- 1 gal. beets
- 1 qt. water
- few cloves
- 1/2 gal. vinegar
- 3 c. sugar
Directions

1Cook beets until tender.

2Peel and put in a large kettle. Cover beets with vinegar, water, sugar and cloves.

3Let come to a boil.

4Fill jars with beets, then fill jars with syrup and seal. Beets keep for a long time.
