- 1/2 peck red beets
- 2 c. Musselman's vinegar
- 3 c. granulated sugar
- 1 Tbsp. plus 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Cook red beets and put in cold water to peel.

2Slice. Mix vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper.

3Heat and add beets.

4Heat slowly until thoroughly heated.

5Put in jars and fill with liquid.

6Open kettle method.
