- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. melted butter
- 1/2 c. melted lard
- 1 Tbsp. molasses
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1 3/4 c. oatmeal
- 1 c. seeded raisins or nut meats, cut fine, or 1/2 c. each
Directions

1Set oven at 350°.

2Sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.

3Stir in the rest of ingredients.

4Arrange by teaspoon on buttered cookie sheets.

5Bake until the edges are brown (about 12 minutes).

6For thicker cookies, increase the oatmeal to 2 cups and the flour to 1 3/4 cups.
