- 3 c. heavy cream
- 6 egg yolks
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/3 c. brown sugar, packed
Directions

1In saucepan over medium heat, heat cream.

2Do not boil.

3In larger pan, beat egg yolks with wire whisk, adding sugar until well blended; slowly stir in cream.

4Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture just coats the back of the spoon, approximately 15 minutes.

5Stir in vanilla.

6Pour into 1 1/2-quart casserole/souffle dish or individual serving dishes and refrigerate until well chilled.

7One hour prior to serving, carefully sift brown sugar over chilled mix.

8Broil 3 to 4 minutes until sugar melts, making a shiny top.

9Chill again until serving.
