- 2 sticks butter
- 1 lb. brown sugar
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1 (15 oz.) can condensed milk
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Melt butter in heavy saucepan.

2Add brown sugar and salt. Stir until combined and add corn syrup.

3Mix well and add condensed milk.

4Keep mixture on medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture reaches 244°.

5Use more than 1 thermometer as the mixture coats the thermometer and is not accurate when heavily coated. When correct temperature is reached, remove from heat and add vanilla.

6Mix well and pour into oiled pan.

7When cold, cut into squares, dip in chocolate or wrap in plastic wrap to keep moist.
