- 6 medium red apples
- 1 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. dark corn syrup
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. light cream
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- nuts (if desired)
Directions

1Combine sugar, corn syrup, butter and 1/2 cup cream.

2Cook over low heat until sugar dissolves; add mixture.

3When it comes to a full boil, add rest of cream.

4Cook to very hard boil stage (254°) without stirring.

5Remove from heat; add vanilla.

6Dip apples into syrup (work fast).

7Roll in coarsely chopped nuts. Place upright on well-greased cookie sheet to cool.
