- 1 pkg. (14 oz.) Kraft caramels
- 2/3 c. evaporated milk
- German chocolate cake mix
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1 c. chocolate chips
- 3/4 c. butter
Directions

1Combine caramels and 1/3 cup of the evaporated milk.

2Melt and set aside.

3In a large mixing bowl combine dry cake mix, 3/4 cup melted butter, 1/3 cup evaporated milk and nuts.

4Stir by hand until dough holds together.

5Press half of dough into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.

6Baked at 350° for 6 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips over crust.

7Spread melted caramels over chips.

8Crumble the rest of dough on top and bake 15 minutes more.
