- 14 oz. bag caramels
- 2/3 c. evaporated milk
- 1 box any chocolate cake mix
- 3/4 c. melted butter
- 6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
- 1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Directions

1Combine caramels and 1/3 cup milk in double boiler over boiling water.

2Cover and stir until melted.

3Keep warm.

4Mix cake mix, butter and remaining 1/3 cup milk at medium speed for 2 minutes.

5Spread 1/2 of batter in 13 x 9-inch greased baking pan. Bake at 350° for 6 minutes.

6Cool 2 minutes.

7Spread warm caramel mixture carefully over baked layer.

8Sprinkle chocolate chips over this.

9Stir 1/2 cup nuts into remaining batter and drop by spoonfuls over chocolate chips.

10Sprinkle remaining cup of nuts over top of this and bake at 350° for 18 minutes.

11Cool and cut into bars.
