- 14 oz. pkg. caramels
- 2/3 c. evaporated milk
- 1 box German chocolate cake mix
- 2/3 c. butter
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 12 oz. chocolate chips
Directions

1Melt caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk; set aside.

2Mix cake mix and rest of milk, butter and pecans.

3Put 1/2 of cake mix in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.

4Bake for 8 minutes at 350°.

5Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over cake, then drizzle caramel mixture on top.

6Pour remaining cake mix on top of caramels.

7Bake 18 minutes more at 350°.
