- 1 tsp. vanilla

2Gradually add sugar, creaming until light and fluffy.

3Sift flour with baking powder and salt.

4Add eggs, one at a time, to creamed mixture, beating well after each addition.

5Add flour mixture alternately with milk and flavoring, beating after each addition until smooth.

6Pour batter into 3 (9-inch) well-greased pans.
