- 125 g butter
- 34 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon golden syrup
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 12 cups self-raising flour
- 1 tablespoon cocoa
Directions

1turn oven to 170 degrees.

2grease and flour a 20cm round tin.

3cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

4beat in egg.

5beat well.

6put milk, syrup and soda in a pan.

7heat gently, DON'T BOIL!

8sift flour into a bowl.

9add milk mixture.

10mix well.

11spread only half of the mixture into prepared tin.

12add cocoa to rest of batter.

13mix it well.
-
14add to prepared tin - don't mix it up.

15bake 40-45 minutes.
