- 1 c. butter
- 1/2 c. corn syrup
- 2 c. brown sugar
- dash of salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 (17.5 oz.) box Corn Chex cereal
Directions

1Combine butter, corn syrup, brown sugar and salt in a large glass bowl.

2Heat in microwave on High, stopping frequently to stir, until the mixture comes to a boil.

3Boil for 1 minute. Remove from the microwave and stir in baking soda.

4Place Corn Chex in a large brown paper grocery bag.

5Pour caramel mixture over cereal.

6Stir, close bag and shake to coat the cereal.

7Heat in microwave on High 2 minutes.

8Remove and shake.

9Heat in microwave another 2 minutes.

10Remove and spread on cookie sheets or waxed paper to cool.
