- 1 pkg. (2 c.) light brown sugar
- 1/2 lb. (2 cubes) margarine
- 1/2 c. light Karo
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 6 qt. popped corn
Directions

1Put popcorn in larger roaster pan (I spray with non-stick spray).

2In saucepan, put brown sugar, margarine, Karo, salt and cream of tartar.

3Cook over medium to medium high heat, stirring constantly until hard ball stage (260° to 264°).

4Remove from stove; add soda and stir.

5Pour over popcorn and stir until covered.

6Put into 200° oven for 1 hour.

7Stir twice during this time.

8Dump on wax paper and separate to cool.

9Makes about 2 gallons.
