- 8 c. popped popcorn
- 3/4 c. packed brown sugar
- 6 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 3 Tbsp. light corn syrup
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Remove all unpopped kernels.

2Put popcorn into a 17 x 2 x 2-inch baking pan.

3In a saucepan combine sugar, butter or margarine and corn syrup.

4Cook over medium heat until butter melts and mixture comes to a boil.

5Cook without stirring for 5 minutes more.

6Remove from heat.

7Stir in baking soda and vanilla. Pour over popcorn.

8Stir to coat popcorn.

9Bake for 15 minutes; stir and bake 5 to 10 minutes more.

10Pour corn into a large bowl; cool.

11Makes 8 cups.
