- 1 c. oleo
- 2 c. light brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 6 qt. (or more) popped corn
- 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. salted Spanish peanuts (optional)
Directions

1Using a large heavy iron skillet, melt oleo over medium heat. Stir in sugar, syrup and salt.

2Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

3Boil 5 minutes without stirring.

4Remove from heat and add soda and vanilla.

5Pour syrup over popped corn and peanuts.

6Toss or stir (syrup will be sticky).
