  • 5 to 6 qt. popped corn (salted or unsalted)
  • 1 c. margarine
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. Karo syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. salt (if corn is unsalted)
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda

Directions

    Heat the margarine, sugar and syrup in a heavy saucepan over medium heat.

    Boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat.

    Add salt, vanilla and baking soda.

    Pour over corn and bake at 250° for 1 hour.

    Stir every 15 minutes.
