- 2 c. light brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1 c. margarine (2 sticks)
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 8 qt. popped corn (remove unpopped kernels)
Directions

1Mix sugar, syrup and margarine in large, heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook 5 minutes.

2Remove from heat; add salt, soda and cream of tartar.

3Pour over popped corn.

4Mix thoroughly in large roaster.

5Bake at 200° for 1 hour.

6Stir every 15 minutes.
