  • 5 to 8 quarts popped popcorn
  • 2 cubes butter or margarine
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. clear corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    In a large pot, melt butter, sugar, corn syrup and salt. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes.

    Add baking soda and vanilla. Stir quickly.

    Pour over popcorn, coating well. Bake at 200° for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
