  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1/4 c. corn syrup
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 qt. unsalted popcorn

Directions

    Combine all ingredients except corn in saucepan; bring to a boil.

    Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove mixture from heat; pour over popcorn (in roaster pan) and mix well.

    Bake at 250° for 1 hour, checking and stirring every 15 minutes.

    Remove from oven; stir immediately.

    Stir occasionally while mixture cools.

    Store in airtight container.

    Yields 2 quarts.
