- 6 qt. popped corn (1/2 c. unpopped kernels yields 4 qt. popped corn)
- 2 c. peanuts
- 1 c. margarine
- 2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. corn syrup
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Preheat oven to 250°.

2Grease large roasting pan.

3Pour popped corn and peanuts in pan.

4In saucepan on top of stove, melt margarine.

5Stir in brown sugar, corn syrup and salt.

6Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

7Boil without stirring for 5 minutes. Remove from heat.

8Stir in baking soda and vanilla.

9Gradually pour over popcorn, mixing well.

10Bake 1 hour; stir every 15 minutes.

11Cool completely.

12Break apart.

13Store covered.
